you know you're insane when upon taking your clothes out of the washing machine, you actually speak out loud and say to the clothes, "hello! i'm so glad to see you again. i've missed you." but it's really not your fault if each spin-cycle takes FIVE hours.

our tumble-dryer is spolit, despite it being just three weeks old. so i called in the repairman and he was so funny, because the first thing he said when i opened the door was 'broken it already, have we?' hahahahahaha oooooh, love the accent. funny repairman stories aside, it feels good to be independent; to know what to do and who to call when the tumble-dryer breaks.

how could you have done this to me, have you no heart at all. on an unrelated and much brighter note, really am very very very thankful for the friends and people here. they have been an incredible source of support/joy/bad influences/knowledge/fun. weekends are always fun, and i love it when it's just us girls staying in. there are very few moments in my life where i am completely content. there are almost always feelings of regret, or the dull ache of unfuifilled desires (both material and emotional) but today as we walked into H&M, there was this moment of sheer and utter perfection, sort of a mix of liberation, joy/happiness and content altogether. and at that point, i knew that no matter what might happen, or what was it that brought me here - i was supposed to be here and this is my place to be. they even had the perfet song playing in the background (!) sort of like a sign from God or something. i don't know what song that was though, did not go through my usual routine of whipping out my phone and noting down a few words of the lyrics to google after, just because i was unwilling to ruin the moment. but then again, H&M always play nice songs.
